What’s New?

Every week, Metafoodx now analyzes production and consumption data to identify the five menu items creating the greatest overproduction costs at each venue. Instead of manually reviewing reports and spreadsheets, kitchen managers receive a prioritized list of opportunities to reduce waste and improve food cost performance.


The report highlights:

  • The menu items driving the highest overproduction costs

  • The dates those items were over-prepared

  • Recommended prep reductions based on previous menu cycles


How It Works


The new report is automatically included within your Weekly Report and requires no additional setup.


Step 1: Access Your Weekly Report

Simply download your Weekly Report from the Metafoodx dashboard or receive it through your regular email delivery. The new recommendation page appears directly after the Venue Report section.


Step 2: Identify Your Highest-Cost Overproduction Items

Metafoodx ranks the top five menu items contributing the most to overproduction costs. When menu item cost data is available, actual costs are used. If cost data is missing, Metafoodx uses AI-powered estimates based on location, date range, and wholesale pricing data.


Step 3: Adjust Prep with Confidence

The report compares current production levels against historical consumption trends from previous menu cycles, helping managers understand when and how much prep can be reduced before the menu repeats.
